Next door is the rue Cler, one of the best and most appreciated markets with shops, great local restaurants and best of all fresh food and you are minutes from the main centres of attraction like the Musee d'Orsay, Louvre and Eiffel Tower.

Location
Placed around the corner from the Invalides, a monument and historic building housing the Army Museum with the largest collection of arms in Europe from the doorstep you can also walk to the Eiffel Tower, or St Germain des Pres.

Walking down the street you reach the Musee d'Orsay (modern art museum) or cross over the Seine on either the Pont des Invalides or Pont de l'Alma and reach the Champs Elysees. At the bottom you have the Grand and Petit Palais where you can see the latest exhibitions and then meander up the Champs or down taking in the Orangeraie at Concorde towards the Louvres.

Alternatively cross at Pont de l?Alma and walk up Avenue Montaigne and see the top designer showrooms like Chanel, Vuitton, Ricci, Ungaro, Escada, Lacroix, Dior and many more.

You can also just take the 69 bus from the Rue St Dominiquen direct to St Germain, the Musee d'Orsay and the Louvres.
