I loved my long stay at Rue au Maire
I loved my long stay at Rue au Maire. The apartment is small but very well planned and equipped. I had everything I needed and was very comfortable. The location is central, and I got to know the 2nd and 3rd very well. For a foodie like me, to be so close to Les Halles area and Rue Montorgueil was a gift. Three flights of stairs were no obstacle, they only justified more cheese! I cooked and ate in quite a lot - the kitchen is good, with a gas hob, which for me is important. Good shower; comfy bed and bedding; ample closet space, hangers and shelves; table for working or eating; full-size couch for relaxing; attractive art and decoration. Recommended!

Very charming and convenient, well equipped, and friendly staff to greet us.

Very accurate description of the apt on airBnB. Convenient location with a metro at the next block. Very walkable to most tourist spots such as Notre dame, Lourve, Pompidou ect. Lots of small Chinese restaurants nearby. Apt itself is very tidy. Clean beds, sheets and bathroom! Washer comes very handy when you travel light and have kids. Communication was smooth. The person (Cherline) scheduled to meet us spoke perfect English, was very friendly and answered text promptly when we couldn't find the hair dryer. Overall a clean, safe and convenient place that suited our family of 4 perfectly!

Well my friend and I had 7 wonderful days in Paris. The apartment was in the best location for us. Close to cafes supermarket and the metro and of course walking distance to all that we needed. We needed sheets for the sofa bed as I had forgotten to mention in my email. But it wasn't a problem I had clean sheets and all I needed the following morning. Would I stay there again.?!? Absolutely, loved it. Michele, merci

Fantastic apartment in the heart of Paris very clean and spacious with comfortable beds facing a quiet courtyard. Located close to transport, restaurants and supermarkets. Even though our plane was late the checkin went smoothly.

The host agent was extremely friendly and explained us everything perfectly, in a very warm and welcoming way. The apartment is exactly as described and shown on the photos, it was delivered very clean and with all the equipment working properly. The apartment fully fits to the needs of our four people family. The place is very quiet, we rarely heard the neighbors, and there was no noise coming from the street. The location is fantastic, just a few meters from a metro station, supermarkets, restaurants etc., and very close to Pompidou Center and Notre Dame. Absolutely amazing!

This apartment was exactly as described and suited our needs as a small family who wanted a short break, explore Paris like a local and most importantly, get a good night's sleep at the end of it all! Thanks!

The apartment was nice and well located close to the Metro and serveral good restaurants. It was a quiet apartment in a bussy area. A perfekt apartment for our family of four.

The apartment is located in the beautiful neighborhood of Le Marais, in the northwest corner of the district. We enjoyed walking through the area, taking in the pretty sites, and skipping around from one restaurant and cafe to another. We also walked to Notre-Dame, and easily found bike rental depots to get bikes to get over to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, and the Arch de Triomphe. We'd definitely stay in this area again, and would try to book Michele's apartment first!
Muriel Sep 2016
Staying in Michele's apartment was the best Airbnb experience! Communication was great - we had an easy time booking, someone was waiting at the apartment when we arrived to show us how everything works and give us the keys, and check out was easy. The apartment was SUPER clean and beautifully renovated. We felt so comfortable there and cannot wait to stay again next time we are in Paris! The bed was comfortable and because the apartment faces the courtyard it was quiet and we slept well. The apt is extremely well located - 3 subway stations closeby, less than 15 min walk to the Seine, at the edge of the Marais, we honestly could not have asked for better! Thank you so much for a great time in Paris.

It was lovely. The apartment was situated among many Chinese restaurants. So close to the metro. However it was on the third floor and there was no lifts, which was a bit of a problem for my old aunts and when we had to carry the luggage up and down. However, if I was travelling alone or with my friends this would be the perfect place.

Cozy pied-a-terre with all mod cons
This was a longer-term stay - I lived in the appartment for over two months, on my own. And I have to honestly say that I was extremely happy there throughout the entire two months and never missed a single thing! As others have pointed out, the location of this place is wonderful - surrounded by nice bars and restaurants, a few steps away from the Arts et Metiers metro station, less than a five minute walk to the all important no. 4 metro line (runs north to south across all of Paris), and within easy walking to the Marais, Bastille, Republique, Centre Pompidou, Les Halles etc. The appartment itself faces into an internal courtyard, and I was really surprised just how quiet that was. No sound until 7.30/8am, so a really good night's sleep can be had (bed is super-comfortable too, as is the pullout couch). The kitchen is well equipped, so if you get provisions at the magic Marche des Enfants Rouges nearby you can cook your goodies there comfortably! Everything else one needs - even for long term stays - is in the place too: hair dryer, ironing board, a few DVDs... And the agency is really easy to deal with, quick in responding and reacting; I also really appreciated the fact that a greeter (very friendly!) welcomed me in the appartment (not to mention the welcome bottle of wine :-) ). Though I lived in the appartment on my own, it would be spacious enough for a couple or a small family. I have to say I really loved my temporary Parisian appartment and can wholeheartedly recommend it!

Accoglienza puntuale e comunicazione sollecita.

" Nice place, excellent location!"
We loved our stay at Rue au Marie. The location in wonderful Marais was wonderful, and the unit was clean and quiet and--while small--a good value, and nicely fit our family of four for a week. The rental company/agent was also extremely helpful. We'd definitely stay there again!

" Perfect stay, as it was published (or even better)"
The appartment is very cozy and effective also for a prolonged staying, very strategically located near metro stations and shops, while many sightseeing spots are just at foot distance. The staff was absolutelly kind and attentive (I highly appreciated the complementary bottle of good wine...). Absolutelly to be recomended to everyone but people with reduced mobility, because of the stairs.

" Awesome Paris apartment"
We arrived at the apartment on a hot day but the management had the fresh air flowing and fans going to keep us comfortable. We were a party of 3 adults and found the apartment very comfortable and well equipped. The location was great for walking or taking the Metro. I would definitely recommend this apartment to Paris visitors!

" Respite from busy Paris"
Paris was the first stop on our honeymoon and this apartment was great! Shelly and James were there to greet us on our arrival and explained every inch of the apartment so there would be no confusion. This apartment made it easy for us to cook and do laundry and the location is unbeatable. It is near many delicious restaurants, sites, and museums, as well as several metro stations that get you wherever you want to go! Waking up every morning with the sun streaming through the courtyard and birds chirping, it made you feel for a moment as if you lived there, which is why we love to rent apartments when traveling. You really get a sense of what its like to live where you are vacationing.

" Charming apartment in the heart of the Marais"
My husband and I greatly enjoyed the week we recently spent in the apartment on Rue Au Maire. For my first visit to Paris, this was an ideal location. The local agent provided a thorough orientation to the apartment, which was very helpful. Once we got to know the neighborhood during our daily walks and explorations, we were fascinated by the array of shops and restaurants tucked into the narrow street. Local children were out each evening, playing keep away and tag. It was a short walk to the Pompidou Center, the Picasso Museum, the Place de Vosges and a host of other sites. The apartment is quiet, comfortable and cheerfully decorated, with an abundance of information and guides to help orient visitors to the wonders of Paris. The kitchen is well equipped, lacking only a dishwasher, but that was not a problem for us at all. It was convenient to be able to use the washing machine, drying the clothes on the rack. The WC is separate from the large shower and small bathroom sink, a bit different than the usual American arrangement. The bedroom is small, but adequate with a comfortable bed and adequate lighting for reading. Our only real concern was the challenge of walking on the wood floors without making a lot of noise. The floors do squeak! It became a game to be able to find the quietest path from living room to bedroom so as not to disturb the downstairs neighbors. Since we were out exploring most of the time, learning to use the amazing Metro system, and enjoying the warm Spring weather, we hope it was not a problem.

"Sweet home in Paris"
It was good to stay at an apartment instead of a hotel fir vacation. The location is near the metro station with many shops around. Also it takes a walk less than 10 mins to Centre Pompidou. Feel like staying at home and it made my first visit in Paris perfect.

" Absolutely Perfect"
This apartment was perfect in every way possible. The location was in a great neighborhood, and close to the Metro. The apartment itself is beautiful, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was so convenient for having some meals on a night in. There was a grocery store down the street to buy anything we needed. This was my first time ever in Paris, and this apartment made my trip incredible. I will definitely be staying here when I return to Paris. Elodie was so helpful with any questions I had for her about the rental before and after the trip!

" Just perfect!"
Paris is always special, but having a real home to live in the most beautiful city in the world for a few days is even more! The apartment was exactly like described. Fully equiped. Well decorated. Very practical. The location was excelent, with markets and subway station nearby. My trip would not be as amazing if I weren't there.

" Great stay at Rue Au Maire."
We had a really lovely stay at Rue Au Maire. We had our two teenage children with us and found it to be very comfortable there. There are two groceries stores very close and we ate a lot of dinners in the apartment after long days of sightseeing. The neighborhood is very quiet. We would definitely stay there again, if ever back in Paris.

"Nice apt"
We found this apartment to be exactly as advertised. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The washing machine was handy. The neighborhood is Asian and there are several Chinese markets on the block. We never did find a bakery close by, but there is an organic market on the corner. The metro station is only a block away -- totally convenient. We considered the three flights of stairs to be a wonderful solution to all the good meals and desserts we had.

" Great location, fine apartment"
This flat is in a superb location, such an easy walk to the Pompidou Centre, the Marais and Notre Dame. And with a metro station just steps away you can get to pretty much anywhere in Paris in 30 mins. The kitchen is decently outfitted - we even put together a Christmas dinner. The staff person who met us was helpful and the management was flexible about departure time. Listing is accurate, flat was clean. We can definitely recommend this Paris apartment.

"Fantastic Locale - Great Accomodations"
We stayed a week at Rue au Maire and had a great time. It was quiet and comfortable, and most of all perfectly situated. We're a young couple and ended up walking absolutely everywhere! Marais is lovely, and so close to so much. The property was quiet and warm - up three flights - and amenities were appreciated - especially the washer and kitchenette. We even chose to stay in a night or two after long museum days to watch a movie. We very much felt at home!

" Rue au Maire apt. was a good choice"
The Rue au Maire apartment was a very good choice. The Paris Vacation Rentals staff were professional and a pleasure to work with. The apt. is in an old neighborhood. It looks down into a courtyard that is kept clean by a pleasant gentleman. The apartment is small but nice, especially the separate bedroom. Very quiet at night, no traffic noise. The bed was comfortable; the beautiful wooden, creaking floorboards quaint. The pedestrian-only street is filled with small Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants and grocery store, so food is readily available. Convenience store nearby. Metro stop one minute away. Museum of Arts et Metiers, across the road. Fabulous science and industry museum. Would come back just to spend more time in there. We enjoyed ourselves in the Rue au Maire and would recommend it to anyone interested in a clean, quiet, slice-of-life experience. Would recommend for age 55+ if climbing three flights of spiral stairs doesn't bother you. It didn't us; we had all that food to walk off.

"I now feel like a Parisienne"
I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Once you get past the fact that the apartment is on a street with many Chinese restaurants and climb the history laden 53 steps to the apartment (as evident from the wear of a couple centuries) you arrive on the third floor, door on the right. We really felt very comfortable here. I live in a 3000 square foot home so the amount of space is quite a change, but this is great for one's vacation. Additionally, as one of our local friends stated, this is how most Paris residents live and I had no problem adjusting quickly. Although the kitchen is fairly compact, we were very pleased with the cooking facilities and tools to make meals. One of us is a gourmet chef and he created some fantastic meals with available instruments. Because his food is so exceptional it was very nice to have Rue Montorgrueil (market street) so conveniently located. Quite honestly, if you eat in a place that opens before 8PM (American style) you will most likely encounter mediocre food. Places that open after 8PM seem to have what we came to expect of Paris. Having a washing machine and drying rack was convenient and clothes dried in about 1 day. Jeans dried on towel warmer quickly. The bedroom is quite spacious, the bed is firm and comfortable, the linens were pleasant, and we had plenty of clothing storage space for our 11 day stay. The apartment is great to share if the second party does not mind being in the line of traffic, and squeaky wood floors that can disturb during nighttime visits to the toilet. We were three at one point and happier when our third wheel vacated. This, however, is due to her demands for privacy and I would not give her the bedroom because she asked to join MY vacation. Parents with small children would probably find this a great alternative to a hotel. Any couple would be crazy to stay in a hotel over this. The location is terrific. Walk right down Blvd. Beaubourg past the Pompedieu Center and voila, you are at Hotel DeVille and the Notre Dame. The Metro station is very close. Supermarket is around the corner (Carrefour). Bars and restaurants are everywhere and the Chiinese restauran street does not have auto traffic! Remember, you will hear lots of sounds because of Paris construction carries all kinds of noise. Love making was audible but also motivating (too much info?) and the angry Chinese woman yelling at her husband made us laugh...poor guy. Anyway, we will return to Paris and Rue au Mai

"Perfect base for a relaxing stay in Paris"
This is a great apartment with an enviable location in the appealing Marais district, only a short Metro ride from Gare Du Nord. It is very tastefully furnished but also has that homely feel and the apartment building feels reassuringly Parisian! I love the fact that local attractions such as the Pompidou Centre are walking distance away along with numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Chic flat - perfect for exploring and socialising in Paris"
I viewed this property in the summer when a friend was staying and was so impressed that I went back in the winter to stay there with a couple of girlfriends. I loved the central location, an easy stoll away from the Pompidou, Hotel de Ville and the river, and close to the subway station Arts et Métiers (if you stay here you must check out the lovely cafe of the same name right outside the station - great food and lovely cocktails). The flat is very clean, well-managed and stylish. There's a sofa bed as well as a double in the bedroom, so it's perfect for small families, two couples or friends. The British owner has stacked the place with DVDs so if you want a quiet night in, you're all sorted. There are lots of shops, supermarkets and bars and restaurants on your doorstep and although you're in the heart of the city it's surprisingly quiet at night when you're tucked away in bed. The traditional Parisian courtyard you use to enter the property is atmospheric, not to mention authentic, and there is a really friendly feel to the flat - making it truly seem like a home from home. You have to climb a few stairs to reach the flat, but that's been the case with every Central Paris flat I've stayed in. If you're looking for a lovely, affordable base for a Paris break, this could be it! Will definitely stay here again ASAP!

" Gorgeous Flat"
We stayed in this lovely flat for a flying visit to Paris with some girlfriends. We were only in Paris for about 24 hours but it was perfect because it was so easy to get to from Gard Du Nord. When you get there is situation is great as you can walk everywhere. We had drinks in the Pompidou Centre and walked there in just a few minutes! Very clean and very comfortable, I would recommend this flat to anyone.

We felt like true Parisians staying in this beautiful apartment overlooking a courtyard, in the heart of the Marais. It has everything you need for a short or long stay – we wished we’d booked for longer. It is perfectly located for walking to the local attractions and there is great transport very nearby. The beds are comfortable and the apartment was clean and welcoming. We will be back as soon as we can – this time for longer!

"Perfect Paris rental. Everything was very good."
First of all, the agents who manage this flat were very efficient and very friendly. They answer queries very quickly via email and can be contacted easily by phone. We were welcomed into the flat on our first day by Shelley who spent a good long time giving us useful information and answering our questions. The front door of the building looks very dreary and it is in a slightly down at heel looking back alley, but don't let that worry you. Inside, the flat is great. Simple but very comfortable and practical. The photos on the web give a true picture of it. The flat is also right in the heart of the Marais, which is a great area to live in. We enjoyed just rambling through the area just to experience the feel of it. We will certainly rent this flat again if it is available when we next decide to visit Paris. One tip. There is a good laundromat very close which we used to dry our clothes since there is no dryer in the flat but there is a washing machine. Another tip. There is no lift and it is on the third floor so it is not a place for someone for whom walking up three flights of stairs is a problem. But we are in our early seventies and we coped fine.

We stayed in this apartment for 7 days. It was a great experience. The location is wonderful, you can go on foot almost to every interesting place in Paris. Notre Dame is 15 minutes away on foot from here. You have a metro station very near of the apartment and a Carrafour City next to the metro station. The street is quiet and there are some Chinese restaurants where you can eat or buy some cooked food. the apartment was clean and plenty of amenities The person who attended us was very nice and gave us lots of explanations about the apartment and places to visit. There is a book with clear indications about the amenities of the apartment. We really had a good stay.

Non c'è l'aria condizionata, avendo soggiornato a Parigi con 35 gradi, l'appartamento era molto caldo, ma penso fossero giornate eccezionali. Molto pulito

"Great time in Paris"
Great location, very clean, very comfortable. Definitely better than a hotel. Washing machine and kitchen facilities.

"Fantastic apartment!"
We booked this apartment very last minute after the original apartment we booked (through a different agency/website) became "unavailable because of a plumbing problem" three days before we arrived in Paris. The location is great, near several different Metro lines and buses. The building is quiet and the apartment is comfortable, especially the bed (I have a bad back, so a crappy mattress or a fold out couch does not work for me). Everything worked (except Mac users, be aware, we could not get on the wireless network - we used the Ethernet cable instead and that worked fine). You are not in the *heart* of the Marais neighborhood with a million restaurants and shops around you, but it's in a quieter part, which I found nice. The information book they leave you with is super helpful, and the representative who checked us in was lovely. I would recommend this place to friends and stay there again. Only one downside: 3 flights of stairs and no lift/elevator. After a very long day of non-stop walking, that can be a little brutal, but we managed!

"Home away from Home"
I lived here for close to three years. Its very comfortable and is situated near the edge of one of the cooler hoods in Pars - the Haute Marais. The team took great care of me during my stay. Near many metro and bus stops. Best of all, its not close to any of the annoying tourist areas in Paris. You will be living amongst real Parisians. I highly recommend this apt.

"lovely apartment in great location!"
My husband and I really enjoyed our week's stay at Rue au Maire in May. There are so many personal touches in the apartment, with lots of guide books on Paris, dvd's and tv box sets etc provided by the owners. In short, everything you needed for a very comfortable stay. The flat is in a great central location for exploring the city. We walked to the George Pompidou centre, and all over the historical Marais neighbourhood full of small boutiques, bars and restaurants etc. The metro is just a few steps from the apartment as well. All in all I would highly recommend this apartment and Paris Rental Connections. Can't wait to visit again next year.

"Great Neighborhood with a Clean, Well Lighted Place."
This apartment was a good, although basic, place to stay. The neighborhood and location were great. We will stay in the Marais again. The street was nice, populated by asian restaurants and families. It was quiet, and felt very safe. We were close to restaurants and Museums; Pompdou and arts et Metiers. Also close to a great food market (Marches de Enfants Rouges), shopping, parks and metro stops. Short walk to Notre Dame and the Seine. The apartment was clean, not fancy. Felt like a college, or first apartment. Ikea furnishings. Fairly spacious. Had a washing machine. Good light from big windows. Coffee and wine provided! The manager was very helpful and friendly. Provided us great tips on being in Paris. Answered all of our questions and needs.

My husband, my daughter and I stayed in the apartment in May and really enjoyed it. Everything in the flat exactly as 'it said on the box.' Clearly someone had put a lot of thought and effort in providing all that was necessary for anyone to spend a very happy week. The flat was ideally positioned too - just minutes away from metro, and right in the centre of Paris. Highly recommended
